POSITION SUMMARY

 

Advanced Energy is currently hiring a talented Assembler III. This role, based at our site in Lockport, NY will be responsible for performing moderate and complex electronic assembly operations on components or subassemblies to meet production schedules and quality standards.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•Reads schematics and assembly drawings and uses electronic assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units.

•Places small electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount and through hole processes and solders components to PCB.

•Communicates effectively in a professional manner.

•Understands and follows all safety requirements.

•Understands and follows ISO practices and procedures.

 

SKILLS

 

•Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.

•Precise and advanced soldering skills required.

•Ability to identify components and recognize non-conformities.

•Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.

•Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.

•Basic PC knowledge.

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

•Ability to train others.

•Must be willing to cross-train on multiple product platforms.

•Must be able to work overtime including Saturdays as needed.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

 

•5+ years of experience soldering components onto PC Boards

•Experience in surface mount and through hole processes

•Experience performing mechanical assembly operations

•Experience performing rework

 

Preferred:

 

• IPC-610 Certification
