Job Description

Job Title: Suspended Scaffolding Operator/Rigger Technician
Job Summary: Operates and rigs suspended scaffolding in a safe manner in accordance with
regulatory and manufacturer’s recommendations.
This is a travel position. Qualified candidates will travel to sites throughout the United States and
Canada to expedite the rigging and operation of the suspended platforms.
Key Responsibilities
 Fastens slings, shackles and wire ropes to approved anchoring structures
 Sets up platforms, hoists and bloc stops for suspended scaffolding procedure
 Performs daily safety inspections of rigging and access equipment
 Ensures personal fall arrest systems is utilized correctly
 Recognizes hazards associated with suspended scaffolding (electrical hazards, changing
weather conditions, falling object hazards, etc.)
 Exhibits courteous behavior with respect to customers, supervisors and coworkers
 Performs other duties as related to the position
Job Requirements
 Must be able to work in confined spaces
 Must be able to climb a 300 foot vertical ladder
 Ability to work at high elevations
 Ability to follow written and oral instructions
 Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. unassisted
 Ability to bend, kneel, climb, squat
 Must be able to read, write and speak English
 Ability to use hand power tools
Certification Requirements
 Suspended Scaffold Safety and Self-Rescue
 Up Tower Assisted Rescue
 NFPA 70E Electrical Safety
 First Aid/CPR/AED
 OSHA 10 hour
 Valid Drivers’ License
